# Device Code Authentication

> Passwordless login with OAuth 2.0 Device Flow

Bazable uses OAuth 2.0 Device Flow for passwordless login.

## How it works

  <Step title="Run any cloud command">
    Trigger the flow by running [`push`](/commands/push), [`sync`](/commands/sync), or `watch`.

  <Step title="Open the printed link">
    The CLI prints a clickable authorization URL.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in">
    Open the link in your browser and sign in with GitHub or email.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Automatic approval">
    The device is approved automatically and the CLI continues where it left off.
  </Step>

  No passwords are stored. The access token is cached locally for future commands.
